I like the way Don cameron put it "even when the Society happens to be teaching something that is a true teaching of the Bible, that isn’t the reason why Jehovah’s Witnesses believe it. They believe it because “God’s organization” is teaching it.

A Spirit-Directed,
Uninspired True Prophet?
Here is another example of how faulty reasoning eventu- ally catches up with those who try to force the Bible to up- hold their illusion...
The Governing Body does not deny that the organization claims to be, or acts as God’s prophet. 108 What they do deny is that they are inspired. 109 Somewhere along the way someone came up with the idea that it’s all right to put God’s name on their teachings and prophecies as long as they don’t claim to be inspired. But this causes a problem that they apparently haven’t noticed yet. According to the Bible there are only two kinds of prophets:
True Prophets
False Prophets
True prophets are inspired by God. False prophets are not...
Inspired true prophets
Uninspired false prophets
But the Watchtower’s religious leaders have created a third kind of prophet that is a mixture or combination of
both a true prophet and a false prophet...
Added to this is the fact they also claim to be “God’s spirit-directed organization.”110 Therefore, when you add up all the things they do and don’t claim to be, they end up a kind of prophet that has never before existed. They now have an illusionary Spirit-directed, uninspired true prophet to go along with their illusionary God’s organi- zation.
Now what was Interesting about this is hiw the Society tries to prove they arent a prophet:- "
Then at the bottom of the page this is stated:
This [Awake!] magazine builds confidence in the Creator’s promise of a peaceful and secure new world before the generation that saw the events of 1914 passes away.
Is there a difference between saying “ These are the words of Jehovah ” and “ This is the promise of Je- hovah ” (i.e. the Creator’s promise)? The above promise was printed in every Awake! magazine for many years until November of 1995 when the Governing Body finally re- alized that it wasn’t the Creator’s promise. It had only been their promise.
This does not seem to be so much a case of a deliberate attempt to mislead as it is an example of their inability to realize what they are saying. All they can see is that they are giving an explanation that satisfies themselves that Rus- sell and Rutherford were not false prophets, even though their argument completely falls apart when they then go on to say what they just got through saying the Society has never said. (Captives of a Concept, pgs. 60-61)
This was my "doubt" topic when i went to the elders about 1975. And they basically said that they never claimed to be an inspired prophet...and now as i read this i think "damnit i wish i had this when i went to them" lol.
There is more to come about hypocrisy and how WT condemns, labels, and use propaganda in the same manner as they claim to condemn in others.
This book is fantastic!

WT Mantras / Thought Stoppers
by Ding ini've been thinking about how the gb controls jws through the use of short phrases or scripture quotes (often partial quotes ripped out of context).. think of the sound-bite responses you know jws are going to give you in response to points you try to make to them.. ones that come to my mind immediately are:.
-- "the light gets brighter and brighter.".
-- "who, then, is the faithful and discreet slave?".

I like the whole:
"Where else can you see such unity but in Jehovahs organization?" In which case i bring out the fact that even when the Society was wrong on something and it wasnt based on the Bible they all believed what was false as the truth. And imay ask them if theyve heard of the walsh trial:
Q: It was promulgated as a matter which must [have been] believed by all members of Jehovah’s Witnesses that the Lord’s Second Com- ing took place in 1874...?
A: It was a false statement or an erroneous statement in fulfillment of a prophecy that was false or erroneous.Q: And that had to be believed by the whole of Jehovah’s Witnesses? A: Yes, because you must understand we must have unity ...
Q: Back to the point now. A false prophecy was promulgated?
A: I agree to that.144Q: It had to be accepted by Jehovah’s Witnesses?
A: That is correct.
Q: If a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses took the view himself that that prophecy was wrong and said so, he would be disfellowshipped?
A: Yes ... Our purpose is to have unity.
Q: Unity at all costs?
A: Unity at all costs...
Q: A unity based upon an enforced acceptance of false prophecy?
A: That is conceded to be true.hm

A Must Read! ... What Every Jehovah's Witness Needs To Know! [For Bible-Believers & Newbies Only]
by bjc2read inthe following information has been posted especially for bible-believers & "newbies" only...thanks!
i found this golden "nugget" surfing the net.. someone made this astute observation shown at the link below, and i just wanted to share it with all concerned here, especially after jws around the world just studied paragraph #17 of the nov. 15th, 2013 issue of the watchtower last sunday.. link: http://meletivivlon.com/2014/01/20/obey-jehovahs-shepherds-w13-1015-p-21/#comment-7711.

Desirous is correct. Anthony Morris said that scripture doesnt mean to question whether the Org has the truth but rather to test your faith to make sure its in line with "the Truth" i.e the ORG.

The real reason behind the Revised New World Tranlation
by raymond frantz inusually i'm spending most of the meeting reading through the bible .so my time spend there is not entirely lost .i used to enjoy how in the old nwt you could look up a verse and then following the side references i could get a pretty good picture on that verse.usually the explanation would be contrary to the official jw doctrine.last sunday meeting i opened the revised nwt to do exactly the same thing ,and then it hit me !
the revised nwt has removed more that half of the references used in the previous version.what more the references they left only lead you to verses that support jw doctrine.this a watered down version of the previous edition.what do you think ?could it be that this is part of their continous plan to dumb down all remaining jws?.

I figured this out too....i tried finding all these scriptures to help my wife and none of them are there, nor any of the reference words i looked for.
